Welcome to the Sheringdale PTA Hub and thank you for checking in to see what we are up to. There are loads of ways for you to get involved and support the school, by donating items for events, buying raffle tickets, cakes and toys at our various sales, or volunteering for a slot on one of your class’s stalls at an upcoming event.

How do PTA funds support Sheringdale School?

The Sheringdale PTA raises funds to support a wealth of different educational and experience based projects for Sheringdale children to enjoy throughout the school year.

Projects funded by the PTA are all carefully considered before funding is agreed to ensure that every project supported, will, where possible, benefit the whole school and not just individual Year Groups or Classes. In the year 2023-2024 alone the PTA has funded the following projects to support learning, experience and fun times for Sheringdale children:

Substantial repairs to the wooden playground facility damaged in storms
New iPads for use by the whole school
Great new geography maps and atlases for all key stages
Coaches to allow all year groups to go on school trips throughout the school year
Author visits for World Book Day and educational workshops
New virtual reality headsets for use by the whole school
New books and a special World Book Day Breakfast for all Sheringdale children
Brilliant workshops and new books to celebrate Black History Month
Support for the Year 6 Leavers’ Year Book
Christmas Lunch treats for all children including crackers and juice
A school Christmas tree and all decorations
An end of school year treat to celebrate Healthy Week – Smoothie making bikes

We are always delighted to welcome new members to the PTA to help with our fundraising initiatives – whether you’re new to the school or have been here a while. The Sheringdale Parent Teachers Association (PTA) is a registered charity (1168706) with an annually elected committee, who meet regularly over the course of the year, running fundraising events which support initiatives raised by the school and parents to benefit our children. As a charity our accounts are independently audited and submitted each year.
